Where do I begin...this desk is fantastic! I needed a new desk to replace an old 60"W desk I got rid of and needed something smaller for a different wall and came across this gem. So here goes...Pros:An absolute BREEZE to assemble. I mean, it does come with an Allen wrench, which would normally make me want to go jump off the nearest bridge, but seriously - there's only like a dozen screw bolts that you have to use it for. It took me all of 10 minutes to assemble and one person can easily do it on their own. Although I have mastered the daunting art of assembling Ikea furniture, my God this was a piece of cake. The box came w/assembly directions, but all you really need to do is look at the pic of the desk and you can figure it out.Packaging - Great. Well protected in the box. No issues whatsoever.Sturdiness - Again, no issues. The top part of the desk has nice weight to it, but it's not so heavy that you can't pull it away from the wall if need be. Once the legs are assembled and the top is screwed on, and your stuff is sitting on it - it's not going anywhere unless you want it to.Aesthetics - I am re-vamping my home office w/an industrial-rustic look and this was absolutely a perfect find for me. Now, the desktop is some sort of manufactured wood of some sort, but it really is beautiful. I attached a close-up shot of the top - the color is called dark taupe, but it almost has like a grey-wash to it. SUPER pretty. The best part about that is, you decorate w/just about any color w/this and it'd look great. It's a pretty neutral color.Functionality - Now, if you're looking for a desk w/storage space, this clearly has none, but that's what I needed. I was tired of having a huge desk that enabled me to be lazy and accumulate a bunch of crap on it. I wanted something simple/sleek and if you love the desk and did need storage with it, there are shelving units out there that could be mounted on the wall above the desk (Container Store has some that match almost perfect).And saving the best for last here - the price. Originally, I stumbled across this desk on Target.com. And while I do love me some Target, I never buy anything like this anymore w/o checking the prices on Amazon. That's what true, self-professed Amazon junkies do, ya know. As my incredible luck would have it, Amazon had this desk (obvi) for $132 LESS than Target is advertising it for. What what! That's right - Target.com shows this for $279.99 and Amazon has it for $147.21!Cons:The ONLY con I can think of right now, is the fact that it's easy to get fingerprints or dog nose prints on the metal legs. And, there were a couple of minor imperfections on that silver coating, but they were SUPER tiny - nothing that raised an eyebrow at all and you can't see them unless you're looking for them.So I can't speak to the longevity of the desk, but as long as you're not using this for a keg stand or have a wild frat party in your home office, I see no reason right now why this thing won't last for years. I'd most definitely buy this again. It's awesome.P.S. Don't judge my mess. The office is still under construction.
